Fettercairn 28 Year Old - "The best Scotch whisky in the world."
The Beverage Tasting Institute has awarded Fettercairn 28 Year Old Platinum status for the second consecutive year.
Fettercairn 28 year old is one of our favourites. It’s certainly one of Stewart Walker’s favourites, as it’s a spirit that was running from the stills just as he was starting his career at the distillery.
Nearly three decades in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels has brought out some of the complex, darker, chestnut notes, while retaining the tropical house style of Fettercairn. We’re all very proud of it.
As it turns out, we’re not the only ones. The Beverage Tasting Institute has just awarded the 28 Year Old a score of 96/100 for the second year in a row, securing double platinum status and putting us in some very exclusive company. Some have even called it “the best Scotch whisky in the world.”
The BevTest Judging panel said “It is an outstanding single malt scotch that is decadently rich yet ethereal at the same time, with a lengthy finish that continues to evolve and fascinate.”
Stewart Walker said: “We are so proud of the Fettercairn 28 years old, it is a beautiful liquid which I feel deserves all the praise that it has received and is now being recognised and enjoyed all over the world.”
Fettercairn 28 Year Old is available in our shop, or wherever you get good whisky from.
